FESTofALL

FESTofALL was a series of free national events supporting Australia’s approximate 380,000 young carers, held on 24 June 2012 and funded by the Australian Government. More than 4000 young carers, their friends and family registered to attend the various and varied events across the country and a great day was had by all.

To everyone who attended, scroll down to find your photos and share them with your own social media networks. Thank you for being part of FESTofALL!

About

A young carer is any young person from five up to 25 years of age who provides regular and sustained care and assistance to another person with disability, medical condition (including terminal or chronic illness), mental health issues, drug and alcohol problem, frailty due to age, or any combination of these without payment for their caring role (a pension or benefit is not considered to be payment for the caring role).

Funded by the Australian Government, FESTofALL was headlined at Sydney’s Luna Park Big Top on Sunday 24 June and rolled out in every other state and territory simultaneously, bringing more than 4,000 young carers together. All FESTofALL events were free and aimed to provide young carers and their support networks with a day of fun and an opportunity to meet others in similar situations, build support networks and learn more about resources available.
